Manila Rope

manila rope closeupManila rope, sometimes referred to as “hemp rope”, is manufactured from the strongest natural fibers available of the abaca plant grown in the Philippines. Manila rope provides high strength with very good resistance to abrasion and low stretch.

Manila Rope Applications

This versatile rope is used widely in many industrial, construction, agricultural, and marine applications. Manila rope is also widely used as decorative rope, landscape rope, climbing rope, exercise rope and tug-o-war rope. This natural fiber rope is biodegradable. Phoenix Rope stocks a standard 3-strand utility grade product that is manufactured to Cordage Institute standards. Standard 600 and 1200 ft coils are available in most diameters, as well as in cut-lengths, mini coils and assemblies. Manila rope can also be special ordered to U.S. Federal standard T-R-605B either natural or mildew resistant treated to T-T-616B.
